Our client, a Midwest financial company, needed a visually compelling multimedia campaign that combined photography and video to tell their story. The project required a unique vision and style, prompting us to conduct a nationwide search for the perfect location. Ultimately, Boston, Massachusetts, was chosen as the ideal backdrop for this ambitious project.
The challenge was not only to capture the essence of the brand but also to manage a large-scale production with a crew of 24 people, including actors, makeup artists, a wardrobe stylist, producers, assistants, art directors, and a media crew. The project required careful coordination of multiple moving parts, permits, and location changes around the city, making it crucial to have an organized and dependable production team.
What We Accomplished
To ensure a smooth production, we began with an in-depth pre-production phase, focusing on every detail from location scouting to talent selection. We created a detailed, minute-by-minute schedule that included crew contacts, scouting photos, and talent headshots, keeping everyone on the same page and accountable.
We assembled a reliable and talented team, primarily sourced from Boston and Rhode Island. This local expertise helped streamline logistics, such as obtaining permits and navigating the best locations for the visuals we wanted to capture. A local producer played a vital role in easing the coordination of the crew and equipment across multiple sets in Boston.
During the shoot, our team stayed adaptable, handling unexpected challenges such as navigating the complexities of shooting in locations that crossed into different municipal jurisdictions. We maintained clear communication and problem-solving on the fly, ensuring the production stayed on track.
The Results
The successful production resulted in a visually stunning multimedia campaign that met the client’s vision and branding goals. The Boston location added a dynamic backdrop that resonated with the company’s messaging, enhancing the narrative of their Security Benefit’s campaign.
