From Vision to Reality: Creating a Video for a Subscription-Based Business
Sometimes, a project just clicks from the start. That’s exactly how it felt when Kaleigh Marie of Braveheart Beasts began working with a business owner looking to elevate her subscription-based service with a new website and dynamic video content.
From the moment we started walking her facility, the collaboration felt effortless. We were on a mission to create two essential videos: one for her website’s homepage and another to welcome her new customers. We also had a few additional creative ideas up our sleeves—an intro clip featuring her horses running in a circle as her logo appeared. This intro could then be used for her instructional videos, giving her brand a polished, cohesive feel across all her visual content.
Behind the Scenes: A One-Take Wonder
One of the most memorable moments was choosing the perfect spot for her to read the script. After some exploration, we landed on the barn, which had fantastic, even lighting. No need for heavy equipment or teleprompters here—she knew her message by heart. As we worked together, I coached her through a few sections, but honestly, it was almost a one-take wonder. Her delivery was heartfelt, natural, and nearly flawless, with only a couple of tweaks.
We even made some small adjustments to the barn’s space, like moving a saddle to perfectly frame her. The beauty of working with natural light and authentic settings is that you get a sense of place that’s real and relatable—something I always aim to capture in my projects.
A Collaborative Process
The entire project was a true collaboration. I had many conversations with her about how we should approach the video and her website. Together, we crafted a vision that reflected her passion and expertise. To update her website and the subscription portion of the website. I enlisted the help of another trusted vendor I’ve worked with before to create the new subscription portion of her website. She already had a website and subscription platform in place, so we built on that foundation, making sure the visuals and the site’s functionality aligned with her business goals.
More Than Just a Video
At the end of the day, it wasn’t just about making a single video. We ended up creating a full suite of content: a polished video for her homepage, a welcoming message for new subscribers, and branded intro and exit clips for her instructional series. These visuals didn’t just serve one purpose—they were designed to be used across her entire business, ensuring consistency and professionalism in everything she puts out.
As always, I aim to create content that serves multiple purposes, giving my clients more than just a one-off solution but a lasting visual strategy they can use to grow their brand.
