Unleashing the Power of Visual Narrative: Transforming Corporate Media with Engaging Storytelling
One of the most important tools in photography and videography is visual storytelling, otherwise known as visual narrative.
Visual narratives can be found everywhere. From impacting our thoughts, experiences and values, visual narratives construct our realities and command our attention.
Using imagery to tell stories, visual narrative is what keeps viewers engaged. This is the special ingredient needed to evoke emotions and spark curiosity, leading people to certain actions and behaviors after interacting with said media.
The ultimate tool to convey your story, visual narrative allows you to go a step beyond traditional photography and videography for captivating media that leaves you wanting to find out more.
My experience with visual narrative
Many moons ago, I worked as a photojournalist for newspapers, wire services and magazines. Igniting my interest, experience and understanding of conveying thoughtful and engaging stories through photography and videography, my years spent working as a storytelling photojournalist helped shape my work today.
Allowing me to dig deeper and seek out what connects with audiences for corporate and commercial photography, visual storytelling is an avenue in media that benefits every industry - no matter what your business is trying to achieve.
I have years of experience perfecting my craft, helping businesses large and small connect with their target audience through storytelling imagery and video.
How does visual narrative work with corporate media?
Visual storytelling can and should be used anytime you’re looking to connect with an audience. That especially applies to businesses looking to showcase their talent, culture, products and services.
There’s a difference between corporate media that’s dull and boring compared to corporate media that’s captivating and engaging. And as a seasoned multimedia producer, I’m here to help make it happen.
Who do I work with?
The great thing about the world we live in today is that there are countless different businesses out there with varying objectives when it comes to engaging with their target audience. For some businesses, they’re looking to connect and engage with their associates. For others, they’re looking to attract consumers. Depending on what you’re looking to achieve, I’m able to tailor my multimedia strategy to help you achieve your objectives.
From advertising campaigns to corporate internal and external communication, I have years of experience working with small businesses, large international corporations, and non-profits. Here’s a closer look at some projects I have worked on:
Bruning Bank
Tasked with creating a captivating video for Bruning Bank in Nebraska, we used visual storytelling to express the vitality of the local surroundings with a strong emphasis on the significance of the bank deeply ingrained in the community and its success.
Focusing on the community and key figures from the bank, we were able to connect and engage with audiences on how passionate and inspiring small businesses keep Bruning moving forward.
Working with an adaptable and experienced team, we carried out production over the course of 3 days with meticulous planning to allow us to achieve the objectives set out. Creating a final 13-minute centerpiece video for the prestigious Regional FHLBank of Topeka meeting as well as a teaser trailer, two 2-minute videos focusing on specific topics and two 30-second television commercials, our video content was not only engaging but also strategically aligned with the promotional needs of Bruning Bank.
It can be a bit nerve-wracking for businesses to showcase their hard work in video format. That’s why I work tirelessly to ensure that the media you receive reflects your commitment and success in business. Helping tell your story through evocative video and photography, I’m able to share your achievements with the wider community for increased engagement and recognition.
Here is the Case Study for the community banking video project.
Newport Cooks
Shifting disciplines to the world of cooking, I also worked with Mary Weaver, owner of Newport Cooks, to introduce her business both on her website and social media channels. Teaching the world to cook through lively and exciting classes, I tailored the short-form video to be engaging, entertaining and informative.
Helping tell the story of Newport Cooks, Mary was able to show us the kitchen, how the business operates and who they cater to. Featuring videos of classes in session with people of all ages, viewers can get a quick taste of Mary’s professionalism and passion for what she does.
By incorporating different features of the business into the video, I used visual narrative to tie in all the amazing things that make Newport Cooks the successful business that it is. All in less than 2 minutes!

Experienced multimedia producer
Given my years of experience and insight into the world of business photography and videography, I’ve gained the title of Multimedia Producer. In a nutshell, Multimedia Producers are producers, photographers, directors of photography, directors, etc. We have the skills and expertise to perform all the needed tasks to execute your vision.
In some cases, I take on projects where I take on all the required roles to achieve a certain objective. In other cases, I curate teams of highly accomplished individuals to fill in the required roles. Depending on the overall project and timeline, I’ll share my recommendations with clients on the team needed to execute their vision.
